James F. Sundah — Lifetime Achievement Award at AMI Awards 2025, Accepted by Wendi Putranto

English

The James F. Sundah Foundation remembers the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to the late James F. Sundah at the 2025 AMI Awards.

At the time, Mas James was still undergoing continued medical treatment in New York, United States. Through a video message, he personally asked his longtime friend Wendi Putranto in Jakarta to accept the award on his behalf.

For us, this award represents a recognition of his lifelong journey, dedication, and contribution to Indonesian music as a songwriter and composer.

Throughout his life, James firmly believed that songwriters are the foundation of the music industry, and that every creative work deserves to be valued, protected, and preserved for future generations.

The James F. Sundah Foundation will continue to carry forward that spirit through education, the recognition and protection of creators and their rights, and support for the next generation of Indonesian music.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the AMI Awards, and to everyone who has been part of Mas James’s life, journey, and body of work.
